Count Day

Count day is on October 2nd of 2019

Count Day is when all public schools in Michigan tally the number of students attending their schools. LEA and ISD state aid is based on the number of students legally enrolled on or before count day.

What do I need to do?

As early as possible on Wednesday log into Connexus and follow the steps below in order:

  1. Go to your grade book (Access this from your homepage by clicking on the paper icon with an A+)

  2. Click on the first class listed in your grade book

  3. Scroll down and click on any lesson (to do this, just click on the lesson number and it will pop open a lesson in a new window or tab)

  4. Click slowly through all the slides in the lesson (The lesson must have at least 3 slides total - if it doesn’t, please click on a different lesson!)

  5. Exit the lesson

  6. Repeat this process for every class listed in your guidebook

  7. That’s it!

**Reminder** You must do this by clicking on the grade book. Do not use your planner for Count Day since it might not list a lesson for every class on that particular day**

When can I do this?

This can be done as early as 12:01 AM Wednesday morning! The earlier the better! Fair warning: your teachers will begin to receive reports of students who haven’t completed this by noon and will be calling relentlessly until it’s done. Please get this done before noon!
